Prior to Scheduling your written exam
Federal Tracking Number (FTN):
Airman applicants, WHO DO NOT ALREADY HAVE AN FTN, should establish an FTN, by creating a profile in the Integrated Airman Certification and Rating Application (IACRA) System, PRIOR TO taking an FAA Airman Knowledge Test. This FTN will be printed on the applicant’s Airman Knowledge Test Report (AKTR).
Scheduling your written exam
To schedule your exams: Log in to https://faa.psiexams.com/faa/login and you will have to provide your FTN number
At the end of your examination, your test will be scored and results printed & given to the applicant immediately.
- Tests administered by appointment.
- US Citizens only required one government-issued ID
- Non-US Citizens require a passport and a secondary government issued ID
If your permanent address does not match the address on your ID, you are required to bring in a bill or similar piece of mail, that shows your name and your permanent address supplied to PSI testing

Sawyer Aviation’s PSI Testing Site is professionally managed. Each workstation is designed to ensure privacy and to eliminate distractions such as noise and glare on computer screens.
Regarding precautions taken in consideration of COVID-19 we test only 1 person at a time. Each applicant is required to wear a mask at all times. The test equipment, desks, chairs, mouse, pad are wiped down in accordance to the CDC safety regulations and guidelines.
